The merger of the Vacuum UltraViolet Radiation Physics (VUV) and X-ray and Inner-shell Processes (X) conference organizations was completed at the X-08 meeting in Paris in June, 2008. This meeting established the membership of the new VUVX International Advisory Board (IAB) which will provide ongoing guidance to the International Vacuum Ultraviolet and X-Ray Physics conference series.
