Support for scientists with limited financial means

Some financial support is available for scientists who, by virtue of their financial situation, would otherwise be unable to participate scientifically in this conference.

Support will be made available to selected applicants on the basis of need, scientific participation, and the availability of funds.

This support will be provided in the form of a reduced registration fee, from the regular rate ($625) to the student rate ($375). Other conference fees (banquet, tours, etc) remain unchanged and the applicants are responsible for their travel and accommodation costs.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must have an accepted oral or poster presentation at the conference

• Applicants must provide sufficient financial detail to justify their application

Application procedure and timing:

• The deadline for applications for financial support has been extended to May 7, 2010.

• Applicants will be notified if their application is successful by May 12, 2010 (two days before the early registration deadline).  If successful, a special code will be provided and they must register by the early registration deadline.
